To the Future

Since the beginning of time man has tried to fly. Whether it is using a parachute or a plane, people have been trying to find a way for humans to fly. Yves Rossy aka Jet man has found a start to this new revolution. Rossy has been working hard to find a way to fly. He is not only the pilot to this, but the inventor as well. He challenged himself to a 15 min flight crossing the English Channel. Yves Rossy was successful in his mission and might have an answer to new transpiration in the future.

architectural design

Today in art history we went over Roman and Greek architecture in 15th century. Frank Gehry did a buiding that was inspired by an acropolis. Loyola Law Scool in California is made with pillars on the outside and built in a small community of other buildings and classrooms.

Frank Gehry

i have been researching Frank Gehry and have been very intrigued with his work. He thinks outside the box and that's what i love about him. When he first started in architecture he did not know how to make himself different from others, until another artist opened his eyes to the world outside the norm. He fell in love with shapes and all different materials. He used these tools to show a buildings inner beauty. While working on the project i have been trying to put together a layout for the brochure, but can not seem to get it right.

A positive future

When reading today, i came across a blog about being optimistic. I believe optimism is the key to happiness. Have you ever seen or read "the secret"? If you haven't it will change your life. People complain daily about how the world is a disaster and no one wants to bring children into this world. People need to create and manifest a world they can live in, and make it happen. We can not blame anyone but ourselves for creating this world that we believe is evil. Doom and depression is in our minds because we focus on it all the time; bills, relationships, jobs, family, health. If only people can stop focusing on the negative parts of their lives and start experiencing the positive. People's state of mind and over all health would be better and people wouldn't rely on chemicals and medication to make them happy (but thats another topic).

Seth Godin and common sense

I was Reading Seth Godin's Blog today about getting what you pay for. I Love that he is so blunt about telling people to stop complaining about the things they make their own decisions about. These people get what they pay for. Don't do it if you don't like it, and if you are cheap you are going to get cheap things. All people do is complain, if you don't like it change it, or don't.

My Own Internship of a life time!!!

Well, this summer i did my internship with an artist in Miami. I had no idea to expect. What i did find was my future. It made so much sense to me and allowed me to find a direction in my own art. I was able to learn about all aspects of a business from creation to distribution. I could not have asked for a better expierence. The people I worked for were great mentors too, which helped alot in the learning process. The Artist Romero Britto was good to me and took me under his wing, all he wanted in his art was to share it with people and make them happy. That inspired me to do the same with my own works. Thanks to this internship i don't feel as lost graduating. Now, i know what direction to go in.

Running out of Time

It seems that time has been discovered to organize our lives, but the big question that Lionel Laurent from Forbes asks is "does time really exist?"  He uses the example of the tea cup.  If you knock the teacup off the table it is improbable, not impossible to have the pieces fly back together and become a whole teacup again.  According to a professor in physics Rovelli, he says that you can not see a future where the teacup gets back together if there is no cause for it. But is there ever a cause for time?

Time to me is very abstract.  There are some days where there is not enough time, and on the other hand some days are just too long.  It's hard to grasp an idea that keeps changing.  The idea of time is so complicated, yet it was made to simplify our lives.
